Page 4. Waltz tells his story
When Jacob Waltz ( the Dutchman ) was an old
man he
was caught in a flood and spend a night on his house roof, or at least
got wet and cold enough to catch phenomia. He had a friend Julia Thomas
and her son which took care of him while he was dieing. He
relised he wasn't going to live to he decided to tell
Mrs Thomas where
the mine was located.
This is what he told Mrs. Thomas.
A short climb from his mine you could see the needle, but from the
needle you couldnt see the mine.
You can see the military trail form the mine, but cant see the mine
from the military trail.
You have to crawl into a hole to see the gold.
near his mine is a rock shaped like a persons face.
the setting sun would shine on the entrance to the mine.
He told Mrs. Thomas he had hid three cans of gold at
the corner of an old foundation.
the Dutchman Jacob Waltz died in 1891.
Mrs Thomas an her Son looked for the mine and cache of gold but
never found it.
